Before coming down to the DR I was told I was only going to have one roommate; I was quite concerned at what this would do for my cost of living. Thankfully since I first left the United States 1 week ago God has provided 2 new roommates for me!!!
Thankfully my house is more than sufficient for 4 people and we'll have room to entertain other JCS staff as well. :)
We are still "roughing" it without internet due to missing cords. Once Monday comes the search will begin again. Once Christy comes it will be like Christmas because she'll know where things are at.
Hopefully I'll also have a floor outside my doorway this week too!!!

- I am currently finishing out my first year teaching at Jarabacoa Christian School in the Dominican Republic. Why would I a Midwesterner move all the way to the Caribbean? The answer is simple; God called me here. After visiting Jarabacoa twice with Taylor University (I am a 2008 graduate) I decided to pursue a serious teaching job here. I ended up at Jarabacoa Christian School because of previous TU grads working there. So in August 2008 I set off on the biggest adventure of my life. I currently teach 3rd grade and love my students. God has called me to another year here at JCS and I am so excited! Next year (2009-2010)I will be teaching 2nd grade and couldn't be happier. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
